Pomfret with Preserved Soy Bean

Other than cooked with sweet soy bean, we also can use other method in cooking pomfret fish!
For you who like salty food, you can try this recipe! But... you should know that you have to be careful as this recipe has already use preserved soy bean which taste salty, don't put too much salt. Why? we all know the reason that eating too much salty food is not really good for our health!
That's why, in this recipe other than preserved soy bean, we also still use sweet soy sauce to give  the balance of the taste!

Pomfret with Preserved Soy Bean
  • 1 Pomfret
  • 1 Onion (Thinly slice)
  • 5 cloves garlics (Minced)
  • 1 cm ginger (smash)
  • 2 Red Chili (Thinly Slice and you can also throw the seed) - optional
  • 2 spring onion (Cut into 2 cm length)
  • 250 ml water
  • 2 tbs preserved soy bean
  • 5 tbs Sweet soy sauce (You can add more as per your preference)
  • Lime extract from the lime it self
  • Salt
  • Cooking Oil
  • Rub the fish with lime extract and salt, let it sit for 15 minutes
  • Heat the pan, add cooking oil for deep fry the fish with mid heat level, until the fish golden brown, put aside.
  • Stir fry minced garlics and onion until smell nice, add preserved soy bean, chili, ginger and spring onion, stir well.
  • Add water, sweet soy sauce and salt, until it's boiling.
  • Add the fried fish and mix well to make sure the sauce go into the fish.
  • Ready to serve!
