Crispy Tofu with Garlic and Chili Padi
I love tofu so much! Any tofu dishes! I love it! How about you?
I am thinking to find another way to cook tofu and I remember that I ate this before! Since I want it and I don't know where to get it here ( I am sure there should be a place to sell this dish around here) so I decided to try to cook it!
Crispy Tofu with Garlic and Chili Padi
Ingredients:
- 3 blocks extra firm Tofu (cut into small cubes)
- 2 tbs Corn Starch
- 1 tbs Tapioca Starch
- 1/2 tsp salt
Sprinkle Ingredients:
- 10 cloves garlic (minced)
- 8-10 chili padi (minced)
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 spring onions (Thinly cut)
- cooking oil
Methods:
- In a large bowl, Mix well corn starch, tapioca starch and also salt. Add tofu and mix well. Make sure all tofu cubes cover by the mixture.
- Heat the pan, add cooking oil and fry tofu until crispy and cooked. Put aside.
- Next, heat the pan, add cooking oil and fry the 10 cloves minced garlic until the color become yellow (golden), dry and crispy. Put aside.
- Next, heat the pan, add cooking oil, saute chili, 3 cloves minced garlic and salt and also spring onions. Mix well until all cooked.
- Add the fried garlic to the mixture above, mix well. Put aside.
- On a plate, put all tofu and sprinkle with the garlic chili mixture.
- Ready to serve with warm steam rice.
Sounds like more work to make this, but actually it is easy and simple!
Hope you will like it!
Happy Cooking!
